Ballet BC presents Program 1
New Work by Cayetano Soto
To launch the season, Soto will create a new one-act work for the full company that will bring together his integrated vision as a choreographer, costume and lighting designer in surprising new ways. An intuitive and masterful designer of movement and space, cited by Dance Europe as having “an abundance of originality”, Soto commands his audiences to dive into intriguing worlds of curiosity and discovery with his choreography.
B.R.I.S.A. by Johan Inger
One of the most prominent dance makers today, Johan Inger’s renowned work probes our intellect and sensitivities. Inger made his choreographic debut in 1995 after a thriving dance career at the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), where he remains as Associate Choreographer. In B.R.I.S.A., Inger explores the themes of awakening and change.
Regularly playing host to acclaimed opera and musical performances, as well as Broadway shows and other amusements, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre also features a locally curated art gallery exhibiting works by emerging artists.Explore This Venue
