Blueridge Chamber Festival 4: About Us

Chamber music is all about connection, community, and relationships--and there's no more potent relationship than the string quartet! The Blueridge Festival closes with a concert by Canada's famous Borealis String Quartet, featuring Shostakovich's rich and vibrant Ninth Quartet and Dvorak's ebullient American.  Rounding out the program is the radiant First String Quartet, subtitled A falcon, a storm, or a great song, by the Latvian-born, Okanagan-based composer Imant Raminsh.
