The Friends of Chamber Music present the Chamber Music Society of Lincon Center
This mixed group of master musicians, some familiar (Paul Neubauer, viola and Keith Robinson, cello), and some new to us (Orion Weiss, piano, Paul Huang, violin and Xavier Foley, bass), perform diverse ‘gems’ of 19th century music, including Beethoven’s variations on a theme by Mozart, and culminating in Schubert’s dazzling “Trout” Quintet.
Beethoven: Variations on “Bei Männern, welche Liebe fühlen” from Die Zauberflöte for Cello and Piano, WoO 46
Schubert: Sonata for Viola and Piano in A minor, D821, “Arpeggione”
Bottesini: Gran duo concertante for Violin, Bass, and Piano
Schubert: Quintet for Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass in A major, D667 Opus 114, “Trout”
