Join Vancouver Civic Theatres and the Vancouver Maritime Museum for the public gallery opening of Cory Trépanier’s exhibit, Into the Arctic.
With live performance by The Trade-Offs, playing Arctic Soul Music.
With over a decade in the making, Cory Trépanier’s Into the Arctic Exhibition Tour presents the most ambitious body of artwork ever created from the Canadian Arctic. Adding to his majestic paintings are a series of Arctic films, which cinematically convey the wonder, awe and challenges of his northern painting expeditions.
The Into the Arctic Exhibition Tour showcases an unprecedented collection of over 50 Arctic oil paintings and three films from Trepanier’s four Arctic expeditions to the furthest reaches of the Canadian North, a wilderness so remote and untouched, that many of its landscapes have never been documented before.
This exhibit will run at both the Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the Vancouver Civic Theatres operated Queen Elizabeth Theatre for the months of January, February, and March.
Access to the gallery space at Queen Elizabeth Theatre is limited to event-based showings. We encourage you to join us at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for the opening reception to guarantee viewing time.
Works displayed at the Vancouver Maritime Museum will be available for viewing during regular opening hours.
