New Works at Night: Sølvi Edvardsen
MAN explores the possibilities of scenic expression based on one dancer’s potential – the maximal in the minimal. The theme is the conscious individual’s unending exploration of personal reality and the limits and borders that we either impose on ourselves or that are placed on us by different external systems and situations – something that is only amplified when one is bicultural. Presented in collaboration with Dance Victoria, the CODA Festival, and The National Touring Company.
New Works gratefully and respectfully acknowledges that this event takes place on the ancestral, and unceded Indigenous territories of the ʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.
