Immerse yourself in a piece of Vancouver’s history! Take a self-guided tour of the Orpheum concert hall, a national historic site. Learn about the venue’s interesting history and architecture, famous visitors and performers, and how the community once came together to save the Orpheum.
Tours are self-guided, with support from Vancouver Civic Theatres staff. Attendees are given one hour to wander the lobbies, staircases, and the mezzanine floor of the auditorium. Attendees will not be allowed backstage or on the stage.
Open House Drop-in 11:30 – 3:00, last entry at 2:30pm. Use the Granville Street entrance, 884 Granville Street.

Led by John N Ross, B.Arch., PMP, Architect AIBC, and a Project Manager in Real Estate and Facilities Management at The City of Vancouver, this hour long tour will focus on the history of the Orpheum and its role in the Vancouver theatre scene.
The tour will give special emphasis to the features of the building, its location, design and structure, mixed with stories of the Orpheum’s colourful past.
Please note: you do not need a separate ticket for the architectural tour; your drop-in pass will give you access.
