Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's Kids' Koncerts presents The Hockey Sweater
One of the most famous of Canadian stories, author Roch Carrier’s short story The Hockey Sweater, set to music by Abigail Richardson, revolves around a childhood memory growing up in Québec: In the heart of Montréal Canadiens territory, a young boy is given, to his horror, a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. In answering the question "how can I face my friends?" valuable life lessons are learned.
Kids' Koncerts are concerts for children four to eleven years of age and their families in five fun and educational musical presentations. The Kids’ Koncerts series features the full orchestra and the very best in children’s musical entertainers. An Instrument Fairs begins one hour before each concert in the Orpheum lobby. Children can touch and play real orchestral instruments generously provided by Tom Lee Music.
Please note that all children regardless of age must have a ticket.
