The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Gold series presents:
Maestro Bramwell Tovey makes his return as VSO Music Director Emeritus after eighteen extraordinary years as the longest-serving Music Director in the VSO’s century-long history. Maestro Tovey conducts a piece by the very first composer he commissioned as Music Director, featuring the VSO’s former Principal Cello Ariel Barnes. This concert also features the towering sonic architecture of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6.
