The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes
Peter Grimes is Benjamin Britten’s great triumph – a tragic opera and a masterpiece of musical theatre that reaches heights rarely attained in twentieth-century opera. A powerful, dramatic story of fate and the cursed hero, and driven by its astonishing orchestral score full as much as by its story and characters, Peter Grimes is presented by Maestro Tovey in its concert version, featuring the UBC Opera Ensemble and a cast of renowned vocal soloists.
