How can I update my profile?

Information on your profile can be changed or updated by entering your user profile on the left hand menu.

 

Do I have to download the app to pre-order my food and drinks?

Yes, you currently need to download the VanEats app to pre-order. Web ordering will be available at vaneats.ca in the coming weeks.

Why should I use VanEats to order? 

VanEats mobile ordering not only allows you to skip concession lineups, but you can also customize your order, pay directly within the app and save your favourite items for future orders.

 

Why do I need to use location services?

VanEats allows you to order from seven Vancouver Park Board concessions and four Vancouver Civic Theatre locations. By enabling location services, the app can detect the venue nearest you.

 

How do I change my location?

You may change the location on the main screen by selecting You’re at. You may allow the app to suggest the location nearest you, or manually choose from the list of locations by scrolling down or entering a keyword to shortlist the locations. 

 

Why do you collect my email and phone number?

Email and phone number are mandatory system fields when creating a profile. This allows us to notify you that we received your order. Your information is kept private and confidential as per City of Vancouver’s Privacy Policy.

 

Can I have my order delivered?

Unfortunately, the app does not facilitate food delivery. Vancouver Park Board concessions and Vancouver Civic Theatres only offer pick-up services at this time.

 

How do I find the pick-up location for my theatre order?

You can pick up your order in the following locations:

Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Second Floor Mezzanine bar 

Playhouse Theatre - Main bar

Annex - Main bar

Orpheum - Second Floor West Coast bar

Venues will also have signs directing you where you can pick up orders. 

 

Can I edit or remove my credit card information from the app?

Yes, you can edit or remove your payment information by going to Payment Method and updating the information.

 

What type of payments can I use?

Vancouver Park Board and Vancouver Civic Theatres accept both Visa and Mastercard. Amex is also available at theatre locations.

 

How do I change my password?

From your User Profile, select Change Password and follow the instructions to change your password.

 

How do I know the order I placed has been received?

Once an order is placed, you will receive an email confirming your order, pick-up location and pick-up time.

 

Is there a minimum number of items I have to order?

No, you can order one or as many items as you would like.

There is, however, a maximum of two alcoholic drinks per customer. If ordering more than two alcoholic beverages, please ensure all members of your party are present to pick up the order and have government-issued photo ID to verify legal drinking age.

 

Why did I receive multiple emails?

When you order ahead, you will receive two emails: one that will let you know that your order has been confirmed and a second email when your order is being prepared. 

 

Can I cancel or modify my existing order?

No, once an order has been placed it cannot be canceled or modified. Please review your order for accuracy before placing it.

 

How do I change my pick-up time?

On the Checkout page, under Pick-Up Time & Point you can select Change, before pressing Place Order. You cannot change pick-up time once an order has been confirmed, so please ensure time and order are accurate before completing the order.

 

How do I request a refund?

For Park Board concession locations, please see our concession stands in person during operating hours. Refunds must be requested on the same day as the order placed.

For Vancouver Civic Theatres, log into the app and select Venue. Select Email Us under the About Us section. In the body of your email, please include your order number, event date and time, venue, and items ordered. Refund requests must be received a minimum of two hours before show time as printed on your ticket. Please note it will take 5-10 business days to review refund requests.

 

How do I report an issue with my order after I have picked it up?

Please return to pick up location and notify staff.

 

Is there a food description I can see before placing the order?

Certain items include product information like size or description of the item once you click on it.

 

Where can I use this App?

VanEats provides the convenience of pre-ordering at seven Vancouver Park Board concessions and four Vancouver Civic Theatre locations. Enabling location settings makes it easy to find locations near you.

VanEats can be used at the four Civic Theatre locations: Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse and the Annex.

In addition, the app can be used at the following Vancouver Park Board concessions: Second Beach, Third Beach, Lumberman's Arch, Sunset Beach, Kitsilano Pool, Jericho Beach, Locarno Beach, Spanish Banks East

How do I delete my profile?

To delete your profile, open the app, click on the drop-down menu in the top left-hand corner, select User Profile, select Delete Profile, select Yes Delete, and then select Done.

 

Can I order alcoholic beverages?

You may order alcoholic beverages at Vancouver Civic Theatres venues according to our House Bar Policy. There is a two-drink maximum per transaction. To pick up your order you will need two pieces of ID with one being government-issued photo ID. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer or impose a single drink maximum per transaction. It is unlawful to sell liquor to a patron who appears intoxicated.
