Martik brings over five decades of musical legacy to the stage. A gifted guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist, Martik is known for his unmistakable “makhmali” (velvet) voice—marked by a unique tonality, tenderness, and emotional depth—that has resonated with audiences across generations.
Having begun his professional career at the age of fifteen, Martik rose to prominence in the 1970s, introducing elements of classic rock and R&B to Iranian audiences and giving new life to contemporary Persian songwriting through his own original, haunting melodies. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 1980, he has released nine acclaimed albums and performed for thousands around the world.
