The Vancouver Chopin Society presents Jakub Kuszlik 4th Prize winner of the 18th Chopin Competition
In the vast literature for solo piano, no music is more difficult to interpret than Chopin's 50-plus Mazurkas. These intimate dances of the soul have eluded even some of the greatest pianists, both past and present. Join us for the Vancouver recital debut of Jakub Kuszlik, 4th-prize winner as well as winner of the sought-after prize for best performance of Mazurkas at the 18th Chopin Competition. In a programme of music by Brahms and Chopin, Kuszlik will play for us the composer's set of Mazurkas, Op. 30.
