The Friends of Chamber Music present Busch Trio
The Busch Trio was formed when the musicians met at the Royal College of Music in London. All three were aspiring soloists, but their shared passion for chamber music became their strongest bond. After violinist Mathieu van Bellen was given the honour of playing the “ex-Adolf Busch” G.B. Guadagnini violin (Turin, 1783) they adopted the legendary violinist’s name, in recognition of his place as a shining example for the young trio.
The Busch Trio now regularly performs throughout Europe and North America. The Times describes them as having “effortless musicianship”, Gramophone writes they are a “true delight from start to finish” and the Süddeutsche Zeitung calls them “the leading piano trio of their generation”.
