At the Orpheum
Vancouver Civic Theatres is hosting guided tours of the Orpheum, one of the most beautiful concert halls in North America.
The Orpheum, a designated National Heritage Site, was built in 1927. Each year the theatre hosts international musicians, popular concerts and unique events; it is also home to the beloved Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
The 90-minute walking tours are led by the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame and reveal some secrets of the theatre's history. One story includes Frank Sinatra almost being kicked out of the theatre for breaking dressing room lights while he practiced his golf swing!
Advance reservations are required.
As this tour takes place in an operating theatre, some sections of the building may be inaccessible. This tour including walking and stair climbing.
This program is presented in partnership with the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. Please meet guides at the Granville Street entrance.
