Music Friends presents Robert Silverman in Concert for Ukraine
Acclaimed Canadian pianist Robert Silverman will present a special fundraising concert at the Annex for the benefit of the Red Cross's humanitarian efforts in the ongoing tragedy in Ukraine.
Mr. Silverman, who has family ties to Ukraine and has performed in Lviv and Kyiv, has spent the entire pandemic exhaustively studying and performing the entire Book I of Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier and will be performing selections from that monumental set on this meaningful occasion, immersing us in some spiritual reflection and contemplation for these troubling times.
Ticket sales revenue from this concert, minus operating costs, will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross's Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. All ticket purchases are eligible for a tax receipt for the donated portion from the Canadian Red Cross.
