Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre presents Sal Ferreras' Puerto Rico: Roots and Rhythms
Puerto Rican percussion legend Sal Ferreras leads an all-star, 10-piece band in an energetic, joyful celebration of the music of Puerto Rico and beyond. With guest singers and dancers, Sal Ferreras' Puerto Rico: Roots & Rhythms features pop, jazz, folk, and more. Join us as we end our celebrations with a bang!
Inducted into the BC Hall of Fame, Ferreras is a virtuoso musician, producer, composer, and educator. He was the principal percussionist of the CBC Vancouver Orchestra and the Dean of the Vancouver Community College School of Music. Ferreras has performed on Juno and Grammy-winning recordings with diverse artists, including k.d. lang, Chicago, Robbie Robertson, and Raffi.
