Stand Festival presents Collapse & FE
Collapse is a raw and urgent multidisciplinary performance that delves into resistance, oppression, and survival cycles. Through an evocative blend of contemporary dance, spoken words, and multimedia, the performers move through landscapes of tension, chaos, and resilience, channelling personal and collective histories of struggle. Ines Chiha is an emerging choreographer based in Montreal, supported by Circuit-Est and Danse à la Carte residencies.
FE explores migration, uprooting, memory, nostalgia, and resilience. It conveys exile's emotional and physical impact, where movement becomes memory and rhythm expresses absence. Through powerful embodiment, it honors those who leave everything behind but carry strong roots and enduring hope for the future.
Please note: This performance includes strobe lighting effects.
Directed by Mariem Valdes and choreographed by Niosbel Gonzalez, FE is performed by Valdes and Gonzalez. Original music is by Pepe Gavilondo and Erice, and lighting is by Valdes, Gonzalez, and Sophie Robert.
*This performance follows Collapse after a 15-minute transition. No separate ticket is required.
