At the Vancouver Playhouse
This year's Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival invites Vancouver Pops Orchestra & Choir to perform a famous movie series, bringing the audience a happy musical feast.
Founded in 2010 by Tom Kuo, artist director, Vancouver Pops has performed music of all genres over the years, including "The Phantom of the Opera," "Pirates of the Caribbean," Disney's "Aladdin," and the 2011 Grammy Award-winning " Baba Yetu, "as well as the Broadway's "Fiddler on the Roof," and classical masterpieces such as " William Tell Overture, "and Dvorak's "New World" symphony.
The Vancouver Pops goal is to provide a fun, progressive, and uplifting music-making environment for all members of the recreational music community. Vancouver Pops hosts ensemble programs for beginners, intermediates, and advanced-level participants. Ultimately, they aim to produce enriching, inspiring, and entertaining performances for our members and audiences.
