VAM Symphony Orchestra presents Brahms Symphony No. 2
Celebrate this holiday season with the Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra (VAMSO) and a concert program filled with stories, drama, and fantasy. Sit tight in your seats for the rollercoaster ride of Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 and experience memorable, lyrical lines in Saint-Saens’ Violin Concerto No. 3, featuring the winner of the 2020 Kay Meek Competition, Chaeyeon Ally Yi, on violin. To complete the program, VAMSO brings you a holiday favourite in Tchaikovsky’s selections from the Nutcracker Suite, transporting you to a land filled with sweets and confectionary, achieved through the composer’s witty use of instrumental colour and poignant harmonization, allowing you to indulge without the worry of cavities!
