VAM Symphony Orchestra presents Carmen Suite and Bolero
Gift the delight of live-music on this Mother’s Day and come for the Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra’s season finale concert, featuring Toronto Symphony’s Concertmaster Jonathan Crow as the soloist for Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. The program opens with Dvorak’s Carnival Overture, intended to depict the rollercoaster experiences of human life. Rounding out the program are two well-loved works: Bizet’s Carmen Suite and Ravel’s Bolero, heralding the summer season to come with fiery passion and building excitement.
