Vancouver New Music Presents Parallel 07: Martin Howse
Vancouver New Music’s popular Parallels series brings internationally renowned artists together with local musicians and community members to create new works that are specific to the time, places, and people involved in their creation. This year's edition features UK artist Martin Howse whose work is occupied with investigating the links between the earth (geophysical phenomena), software and the human psyche (psychogeophysics), proposing a return to animism within a critical misuse of scientific technology. Howse's projects and performances inhabit the spaces between artistic and scientific explorations.
