Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki – Land Love Unfolding
Loving a good land is easy, but finding a way to truly belong in it is a unique challenge for every newcomer. The current phase of her journey deals with responsibility. At first glance, the natural beauty of Western Canada is celebrated. Still in awe of what it says to her, a new question arises these days: Can these places be saved?

Artist Talk at 6:00pm by Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki

Pierre Vassura - Polychromatic Analogies: childhood theatrical and literary memories
Recreating and rearranging the memory, bringing it to the present and pushing it to the future, the trunk of memories opens and brings back to life the popular fables of La Fontaine. The ant and the cicada, the frog and the ox, the lion and the mouse perform in a game of human comedy. Stilled in their movement, they give back to observers the naive freshness and strength of a practical and traditional art full of wisdom.

The gallery open house also includes work from the Vancouver Community College Jewellery Art and Design Program.

A free all ages event from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the lobbies of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with a no-host bar.
