Vancouver Recital Society presents Filipo Gorini
Since his impressive Canadian debut on our stage in 2019, Filippo Gorini’s career has taken off in the most fascinating way. Upon completion of his Borletti-Buitoni Trust-funded project ‘Ricercare on the Art of Fugue’ (which he performed in Vancouver with a wonderful introductory lecture and post-concert Q&A), he embarked upon his next project ‘Sonata for Seven Cities’. To date, he has visited Vienna, Cape Town, Hong Kong and Portland (with more to come). In these cities, in addition to recital and concerto performances, he has played in hospitals, soup kitchens, retirement homes and schools. Filippo is not only an extraordinarily talented pianist, but he is also a visionary.
