The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Gold presents Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1
Hailed as “one of the most admired pianists of his generation” by The New York Times, Inon Barnatan dazzles in Liszt’s thrilling First Piano Concerto, bursting with fiery drama. The orchestra ends the evening on a contemplative note with Górecki’s poignant Third Symphony, also known as the Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, featuring frequent Met Opera artist, soprano Mireille Asselin.
