The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Gold and Symphony Sundays present Brahms, Sibelius & Debussy
Escape into the beauty of the natural world with one of the most iconic pieces in the repertoire, Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune. Violinist Clara-Jumi Kang has been praised by the Daily Telegraph for “playing that left the audience stunned,” and she unites with guest conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky and the VSO for Sibelius’ wintry Violin Concerto, an aurora borealis of musical colours. Brahms’ Fourth Symphony, written in the Alps, brims with passion and melancholy before concluding the concert in a tragic fit of rage.
*Tickets: Masterworks series tickets are available to VSO season ticket subscribers at this time. Single tickets will go on sale at a later date. For accessible seating please contact VSO Customer Service at 604.876.3434 or [email protected].
