Montréal-born and internationally- acclaimed violin sensation Karen Gomyo is known for her knockout performances of Barber’s lyrical and sizzling Violin Concerto. Guest conductor Gerard Schwarz leads the VSO through a program of sublime strings, including American composer David Diamond’s rich and colourful Symphony No. 4, and culminating in Brahms’ dynamic and sensational Symphony No. 1.
South Korean virtuoso pianist Yeol Eum Son brings her captivating touch to Mozart’s lively and beloved Piano Concerto No. 20. Plus, Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony.
