Named Gramophone’s 2023 Young Artist of the Year, violinist Stella Chen has dazzled audiences worldwide and now makes her highly anticipated Vancouver debut with Saint-Saëns’ mesmerizing Third Violin Concerto. Conductor David Danzmayr, Music Director of the Oregon Symphony, brings his dynamic energy to Schubert’s enigmatic “Unfinished Symphony.” The evening culminates in pure splendor with Richard Strauss’ shimmering suite from his sophisticated Viennese comedy, Der Rosenkavalier.
Widely regarded as the greatest symphony of all time and revolutionary in its day, Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony pulses with the composer’s signature emotional power and sense of drama.
