The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Musically Speaking presents Stravinsky, Ravel & Márquez
From the ballet music of Stravinsky’s enchanting The Fairy’s Kiss to an intoxicating dance suite from French composer Maurice Ravel, Conductor Andrew Litton returns to the VSO with a program all about dance. Rounding out the evening is a stunning Canadian premiere from Mexican composer Arturo Márquez. Filled with melody and fiery rhythms, Fandango was written expressly for the superlative violinist Anne Akiko Meyers.
