The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Gold presents Ravel's Piano Concertos
Celebrated pianist Louis Lortie returns to the Orpheum to showcase two piano concertos by the French composer, Maurice Ravel. Maestro Tausk then takes us on an adventure into the fairytale world of Ravel’s Mother Goose, inspired by classic stories like Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and more. Dedicated to the memory of British composer Oliver Knussen, George Benjamin’s tour-de-force Concerto for Orchestra highlights the virtuosity of the musicians of our VSO.
