The VSO School of Music Ensembles present Sounds of the City Showcase
Gather your friends and family for a summer afternoon event that celebrates the diversity and creativity of our city and students!
This casual concert for all ages features both the VSO School of Music’s Big Band, a large jazz ensemble led by Dan Hersog, and the Azalea Chinese Music Ensemble, directed by Zhimin Yu. In addition, attendees can enjoy original compositions in various musical styles by our students and faculty, as well as classical, jazz and traditional Chinese chamber music. The audience will be warmed up and entertained by emcee Leah Field.
