The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Diamond presents Tausk Meets Isserlis
Maestro Tausk unites for the first time with internationally renowned British cellist Steven Isserlis to interpret Elgar’s poignant Cello Concerto. Cassandra Miller’s La Donna transports us to Genoa to bask in the musical traditions of the Mediterranean. Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7, evoking Beethoven and Wagner’s lush romanticism, ends the evening on an epic note filled with wonder.
Guest conductor Nicolas Ellis returns to the VSO. He’s joined by acclaimed Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski to take on Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto.
