The Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF)'s Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon celebrates its 21st year of supporting and showcasing emerging local filmmakers. Come see what the 19 teams of MAMM21 finalists created in just 10 days!
Join MAMM, as they screen the MAMM21 finalists in the 10-Minute Short and 1-Minute Ultra Short categories, and spotlight the Vertical Series teams. Find out which teams from each category will win Best Film and other adjudicated awards, and help us select the People’s Choice Awards for Overall Shorts and Overall Performances!
MAMM is VAFF’s annual short filmmaking competition, celebrating its 21st year of supporting, fostering, and showcasing emerging Asian and mixed-Asian filmmakers. Over 140 MAMM films have been completed through this competition, giving many emerging filmmakers their first "calling card" film and mid-level filmmakers the opportunity to build their filmography. Many of these films have gone on to be screened at festivals around the world and have won numerous awards.
