Vancouver Recital Society presents Minsoo Sohn
"We can find any number of glowing quotes about Minsoo Sohn’s performances, but we booked his VRS appearance after Leila attended his performances of Rachmaninov, Bach and Beethoven, which were masterful and deeply moving. Minsoo won the Honens International Piano Competition in 2006, and shortly thereafter played Bach’s Goldberg Variations at one of our annual ‘Surprise’ concerts. He has held teaching positions at Michigan State University, the Korean National University of Arts (where he taught superstar and compatriot Yunchan Lim) and he is now back at his alma mater, the New England Conservatory of Music where, as a student he was guided by the late Russell Sherman and Wha Kyung Byun."
